   What's New
2008 continues to be busy at Heart's Delight.  I spent the first month in Palm Springs, California where my hubby and I purchased a Park Model - I will be spending part of my winter there again this year.

Conventions I've attended this year so far are Creative Painting in Vegas in January as a student, Society of Decorative Painters in Tampa in June where I taught a class and Northwest Toleliners in Seattle in September as a student.

I also spent another week in Eureka, California at JoSonja's doing a design class where I learned many new things and had many things reinforced.  Painting with JoSonja is something everyone should do at least once - she is a fountain of knowledge and exudes a calmness and feeling of overall peace in the classroom that is second to none.

Regular classes are going well at Heart's Delight.  Because I was closed for part of the winter season I decided to hold Monday evening and Wednesday morning classes this past summer and will do so again in 2009.  I also had marathon painting days on Monday of the long weekends in July and August and everyone had a wonderful time.

We've had two Memory Box nights so far this year and I'm very happy to say that our boxes are now going to the Royal Alexander Hospital.

We have lots of things planned for Saturday's in November including our annual Christmas at the Heart day - November 22nd from 9 - 5 - four teachers, four projects, great food and lots of surprises.

Our annual ornament day will be held on December 6th - paint your choice from the newest magazines and books.  Last year some students worked on one or two very special projects and some were assembly line painting - I believe the top number completed in one day was 17 - an accomplishment to be sure.
